Pros

There is opportunity for smart, talented people to advance. There are a number of different divisions and testing companies within ALS so lateral moves and relocation moves are available to employees that apply. Benefits (medical, 401K) are above average.

Cons

The company is driven by bottom line performance. Investment in resources (especially talent) is below average for the size of the company. Good employees are overworked while poor performance is overlooked and tolerated.

Lots of potential for learning new skills, working across different departments and laboratories if the employee puts in the effort, very supportive team working environment, company takes care to employ the best people for positions. Technical development is encouraged within the company and further training/learning is well supported. A great company for any employee who is dedicated and has initiative.

Cons

Industry is cyclical and therefore at times business is tough and opportunities may be limited by the amount of work available to the company.
