Pros
Great people to work with Decent starting pay for unskilled labor good vacation and sick pay especially with seniority Benefits from the day you're hired including 401k matching.
Cons
Raises are less than cost of living and often employees who have been in the company for many years will be earning the same or even less than new people just being hired. Very little room for advancement and if you do advance, very often your job or your team either dissolves or moves to another center. The company is constantly looking for and finding ways to get more work out of less people by shifting people around and cross training for multiple jobs. It give the place a stock yard feel. Communication is so poor its worse than non existent. Sometimes the managers know whats going on but don't bother to tell the employees, sometimes they have no clue either. Very often the right hand doesn't know the left even exists. This is very embarrassing when you're explaining to a customer that yes, they did tell an operator something very important but because of how poorly the company communicates between departments, that information has no way to get to me. Ridiculous QA system that forces you to say and do things that neither feel natural nor help the customer in any way. Very little positive reinforcement but plenty of nit picking over the negatives. The technology that the company uses is over 10 years old and is constantly having problems, slow downs and crashes. The company is having a very hard time getting and keeping good employees. A few years ago they made some attempts at moral boosting but that's pretty much gone by the wayside. Managers were trained in ways to let employees know that they are an important part of the whole but that's gone by the wayside too. You get lots of vacation time but unless you schedule it the year before, you can forget about using it. Its only May and there are pretty much no Fridays available for the majority of the year.
