Pros

Brand is well known everywhere you go and you don't need to sell the company. Plenty of TV ads, and training is excellent.

Cons

Change agreements every 3 months; pricing is never the same; always hiring people; many hours in training rooms; not enough technicians and customers have to wait 20 days for installations. Many charge backs, Many hours, at the end your work like 60-70 hours a week for commissions only. Vacations after a year are not paid. Sales Reps. called ADT the black hole. More time you spend there, more time you loose in your life.

Has Great Potential - IF - Executives Cut the Cord to Tyco

Pros

A new start for a 139 year old company since its divestiture from Tyco. Good pay and benefits, relaxed business casual environment, lots of projects

Cons

It appears Management is still tied to Tyco because the CEO was appointed to his role by Tyco and the executive get Tyco stock options. C-Level executives are not true leaders and this creates a chaotic environment within their respective departments Hired a Chief Innovation Officer that has not offered up one new product or service despite the fact employees send in their ideas. Pure BS from this one. The CMO does not appear to be a true marketing man with innovative cutting edge advertising ideas. He made ADT look stupid on "Undercover Boss" from the premise of his participation, to his general lack of intelligence. He came from 24 hours fitness - how well known are they? NOT New CIO appears to be a smart woman and hopefully great things come from her addition to the company Too many managers, directors and VPs hired based on the fact they are females or minorities rather than skilled leaders who are knowledgeable Lack of training offerings, lack of a plan to promote from within, and TOO dependent on outside expensive vendors. The Tyco/ADT divestiture cost shareholders over $700 MILLION Dollars -- whose pockets were fattened!?!

Pros

Work from home 401k & health insurance

Cons

I put about 5,000-10,000 miles on my car each month, not even paid state minimum for mileage. Was told the job was 50-60 hours a week, I am now being told I need to work ~80 a week (as is everyone else). Compensation plan is not what it seems, company presents it in a way that implies the average employee is making a lot more then they really are. Huge turnover rate Told to be misleading to customers to get sales After sales are made they are often lost due to the companies inability to process and install them. Many commission discrepancies, difficult to get corrected No time off, personal days, or sick days for the 1st year of employment.
