....I was bamboozled...and would not change a thing
Pros
Imagine walking into your first day of your new job with your “Executive Assistant Pants” on and sitting down at your desk ready to start organizing, calendaring, coordinating meetings etc. Only to find out that the position you thought you got hired for wasn’t at all what you were actually hired to do. That’s exactly what happened to me TWO years ago at ABRA. However, as you can see, I am still an employee of ABRA, still in the role I started in two years ago, and I wouldn’t change a thing. I couldn’t have asked for a better supervisor and team. They have been encouraging and beyond supportive. I am still here because I took a risk, because I am loyal, and because I work for an incredible company. A company that has built a solid foundation from very humble beginnings. I have stayed because I believe in ABRA, I believe in their mission, and I support their commitment to excellence. That commitment is reflected throughout the corporation at all levels. I know there is more for me at ABRA, I don’t believe my journey begins and ends where I am at. I am excited about the growth of this company and the fact that they are unstoppable. I am eager to see where this company goes and proudly support ABRA as an excellent place to not only work, but build and grown in a career.
Cons
The only "con" that I can reflect on would be the benefits (PTO) package and price of insurance. Fortunately they do make up for that in the way they understand the work/life balance and have been very accommodating to parents with children or medical emergencies, etc.
