I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at eBay in Oct 2014
Interview
Interview process was not smooth and did not confer to usual norms related to scheduling and interaction with various parties. In spite of having already scheduled the date of my onsite interview I was repeatedly approached by the actual hiring manager to revise my date - apparently bypassing the recruiter.
The Interview process itself felt as though the company only cared about what an individual could do and not the individual's development. For instance, hardly any time was provided to the candidate for asking questions about the company or the role itself. The Q and A process was pretty much a one-way street with the interviewers asking questions to test the candidates on what they could contribute.
Had to fill out questionnaire with standard questions like why do you want to work at eBay, tell us about your current job, skills that you have that are relevant to the position. I got through that round no problem. The worse part is that the hiring manager changed the job spec an hour before my call with HR. I was more than qualified up until that point. Was eliminated because the hiring manager didn't like that I wasn't currently working in the industry (even though again I had more than the desired industry experience). Can't get a job with the company unless you currently have a job.

Question 1
There was nothing difficult about the questioning because HR didn't fully understand the requirements.
