I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at World Market (Chico, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Group interview with four total applicants. Led by the manager Frank and a supervisor. Atmosphere was very relaxed and conversational. Come prepared to ask him questions! Also bring a resume to hand off at the end. Be early, that may sound like a no-brainer, but he locked the front door right at 8am and a minute later there was someone outside knocking. He did not answer them.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at World Market
Interview
I submitted my application in store and online, and was later called in to interview in person. The questions I was asked were straight forward and the conversation went smoothly. It lasted about 30 minutes and at the end I was told that they would give me a call to set up a time to come in and complete some paperwork. Overall, a very average interviewing process. As long as you prepare answers, you'll be fine!

Interview
Got a phone call from the general manager of the store, took a while to get in touch with him. He was the general manager of the store I was applying to and another store. Called the number he gave me and an associate said he was headed to the other store, but I called the other store and an associate there said he wasn't coming in today and I left a message. I called the first store the next morning and finally get in touch with him to set up an interview.
The morning of the interview, I show up right when the store opened, as I was instructed to do. The general manager comes in a couple minutes later, talking on the phone, tells me to give him a couple minutes and to walk around the store. I do that for around 15 minutes and he finally comes out to do the interview. The interview lasted only a couple minutes. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but I was still irked about getting in touch with him and the fact that I had to wait to talk to him. Lastly, I was expecting to get a call informing me of the decision, but instead I received an automated email saying that I didn't get a second interview.
