I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at World Market
Interview
It was a multi-interview process that took over a month in total. Each version was fairly straight forward, two of them were on the sales floor at different stores while two were in the manager's office of the store I applied at. They were laid back, even the District Manager. They were assessing my knowledge but were more interested in my personality for the role rather than just experience and book smarts. It took a long time to hear back from them but in the end it all worked out.

Question 1
What is one example of how you went above and beyond for a customer?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at World Market (Oakland, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
This was a two part interview process. The first step was a phone interview with the General Manager of the store I was applying to. It was a pretty basic interview which consisted mostly of questions about my previous work experience. The second part was with the District Manager. I was asked more technical questions about driving sales and analyzing metrics. There was also a lot of questions about team leadership as stores typically have no less that 40 employees at any given time.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Know how to analyze sales metrics and how to use that information to promote sales.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at World Market (Newport News, VA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Interviewed for one store, then got a call saying that another store had filled their supervisor position, but then asked if we talked about the store supervisor position that I already interviewed for. Now, they just reposted the listing that they told me was filled. Clearly, they lack organization and communication skills. I chose not to continue the process.
