Very long winded process - took 3 months to get through to the final stage (5 in total) before I decided the job wasn’t for me. Felt the interviewers were trying to multitask work and interviewing you at the same time which felt distracting
I applied online. I interviewed at Wise in May 2025
Interview
Interview process has been documented well on here already - I didn't have Leetcode styled questions. More practical based questions, especially around Java - just brush up your Java knowledge e.g. ConcurrentHashMaps etc. Same goes for the system design around - more practical questioning. Interviewers were all super nice and pleasant. I passed all rounds but never heard back from my recruiter, Julius Solas! Good luck if he's your assigned recruiter, he's quite useless and never replies to his emails - it's disappointing because Wise are cool company but sadly have been let down by the recruiting team
Take home test -> 2 rounds of interviews
Take home test was pretty simple, after that I was offered an interview within a week. They mentioned the second round of interviews would take place in the same week, but I failed to progress past the first interview stage.
