I applied online. I interviewed at Wise (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
The initial process was fast from speaking to the recruiter to moving to the hiring manager. Then Wise hiring manager required a take home task that fell like free consultancy asking to solve business issues that were identified by the hiring manager in the initial interview.
The team sounded very inexperienced, lacking seniority but being put in positions of power without the necessary knowledge. Some of them had PhDs in completely useless matters for their roles; they lacked insight and experience. Fell very cliquey and almost influencer led instead of led by achievements.
I ended up declining the offer because I would fit in such a juvenile culture and didn’t see any future for the company with the current workforce.
I applied online. I interviewed at Wise (Singapur)
Interview
The HR screening was poorly structured/ disorganised. The recruiter seemed uninterested in the conversation and was clearly focused on getting the interview over and done with. Wise did not even have the decency to send a rejection email (despite the HR indicating that they will get back by the end of the week). I feel like this should be standard protocol for candidates who set aside time for an interview.
Well structured, transparent HR. 4 rounds, 1 with TA, one with hiring manager, skip level and one with a peer/ cross-functional. There was a case study round with the hiring manager.
