I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Wise (Londres, Inglaterra) in Jun 2023
Interview
Pros: Didnt find any. Cons: 1. Very time consuming. 2. wait for the feedback for at-least 2 weeks after each round 3. Unprofessional and rude interviewer. 4. Process doesn't make sense at all. 5. after every round recruiter will call and mention that you fall in lower range of the salary because of the feedback. Process: 1. Recruiter's call. (15 mins) 2. Pair programming (same currency conversion question, mentioned in other reviews). (60 mins) 3. System design (your current project design and one system design's problem) (90 mins). 4. Product round (60 mins) some PM will interview you, mine was very rude and had limited knowledge about payment system just knew a few thing which he was working, which explains why he was rude and unprofessional. 5. Hiring manager round (with two interviewers) (60 mins) these people will tell you that you dont know your project which you are working and they know it better, this round told me a lot about the company culture and the toxic environment.
My advice to the recruiter and interviewers at Wise is:
You have all the rights to reject candidate based on your your parameters but being rude and condescending to the applicants just because you can is not right and shows about your personality and impacts companies reputation as well.

Question 1
Coding: currency conversion api design System design: One payment service. Product round: few sensible question about your current project and a lot of stupid questions to prove that they know something. Final round: This round just to prove that you know nothing and no matter how much you prepare they know your project better than you. *Note*: recruiters are also very unprofessional as they dont take notes, I had to remind her that we already discussed few topics and we can skip it.

My experience with the Wise recruitment process, though slightly prolonged due to summer holidays, was characterized by a commendable level of professionalism. The Wise recruiter promptly addressed all my inquiries, ensuring I remained informed and engaged throughout the process. Their commitment to transparency was evident, providing me with regular updates on progress and sharing valuable feedback, even though I wasn't ultimately selected. This approach not only demonstrated Wise's dedication to nurturing talent but also left me with a positive and lasting impression of professionalism and integrity in the recruitment process.

Interview using HireVue, which you will answer the questions (Oral and Written) from the company. You will have time to prep. Oral, still ok, but the written ones are quite difficult if you have no experience from your work
