First of all the process was extremely long. I applied in on September 2nd end the process ended yesterday, October 21st. I would like to start by saying that I applied twice for this position with two days of difference between the applications. The first one was rejected almost immediately saying that I wasn't located in Budapest and that's why I was not chosen, the job description never said anything about being there. But I decided to give it a second chance through a person who referred me and the answer was positive. Same application, same website, same conditions, same everything. This simply tells you how unfair and dishonest these recruiters and people at TransferWise can be. I proceeded with that second application, got send a small questionnaire to measure your knowledge and the way in which you would answer to some potential customers (all typed), and after that, they will measure your typing skills (efficiency, usually above 40wpm is decent, I got 57 as a result). After that, I got an interview scheduled two weeks after that. During the first interview with the hiring manager and one of the potential teammates, everything went pretty fine, maybe they were a bit too serious but overall they seem to be super nice, and they told me I would get a positive or negative response within the following 48 hours, it actually took almost 72. After that, I got scheduled for the final interview with a Senior Manager and it was all super short but nice. They were respectful but did not seem to be too interested, which was disappointing even though I showed them my interest. Looks like they want you to beg them the position so you can get it. They told me the same story, we will give you an answer within the next 48 hours, but I ended up waiting 144 hours to get an answer from them. So if this happens to you they will most likely not hire you or they will simply take longer to give you an answer, but try not to feel anxious, it is just them. I would like to add that the interviews were okay, but you might feel lonely throughout the process because the "recruiter" is almost a ghost, and sent some emails with questions and never got any replies. My understanding is that they had no interest to hire me. Just to wrap up, this is the "quality feedback they will give you after more than one month waiting for them": Thanks for applying to join the TransferWise team and we appreciate your patience with us. Unfortunately, we decided not to proceed with an offer for the Customer Support Associate (Spanish and English Speaker) role right now.
It wasn't the easiest of decisions as we really enjoyed our interviews with you and you seem to be a genuinely nice and smart person. However, it's very important for us that we hire individuals with a strong passion to work in customer support, and sadly, we didn't see this motivation throughout the final interview.
