Worked with a recruiter throughout the process. Interview itinerary was composed of a 1:1 phone call regarding prior experiences with a Senior PM, and then went to an onsite interview composed of 2 computational cases and 2 behavioral. Office is going through remodeling and the entrance escalator are a single lane, causing a bottleneck at the front desk. The behavioral cases were very standard and assess how you would fit into the company. Cases were the ones that threw me off as they were very niche. I found it difficult to prepare for them because the role I was applying for didn't have a specific description. For example, if the PM role was logistically oriented, I would've read up on transportation concepts and standard delivery calculations and metrics. If you're good with computing numbers on the fly and with verbal math, you'll do well. Wayfair is going through explosive growth, and if a person were to have seen or heard inklings of the interview questions, it'd be a breeze. I was disappointed that OPI builds most of their tools internally, meaning that your final product will mainly be internal and one-of-kind. There's not much utilization of external vendors/application making it difficult pivot products to another sector.
