I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wayfair
Interview
Applied online, recieved an email from an internal recruiter within a day or so to set up an initial phone interview (Tuesday). Basic history, information about my experience, general questions. Recruiter expressed interest in setting up a second interview with the manager of the department at some point that week.
The recruiter sent an email asking for my schedule for the week, which I promptly sent, and I received no response all week so I followed up and attached my schedule for the following week (Friday).
No response all the following week until mid-afternoon on the following Friday (now 10 days later) when I received a call from the manager, unannounced and unscheduled. Blindsided, I took a few minutes to answer questions but was unable to fully commit to the time necessary to handle the remainder of the interview (as it was in the middle of my work day with zero notice). I apologized, and the interviewer promptly hung up without much response.
I received a mild 'rejection email' the following Monday. I am not surprised or disappointed by not hearing anything further. This was an absolutely dreadful process with zero communication or professionalism.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Nov 2011
Interview
Everything leading up to the interview was great. The company was very welcoming and outgoing. Had a great introduction presentation for all the interviewees. After the interview, communication was very poor.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Jan 2011
Interview
After submitting an application, I had a phone interview with an HR rep. This was followed by a phone interview with a member of the team I would join. The in-person interview was at their offices. It consisted of a panel interview about my background and then a skills test that required you to decipher what psuedo-code was saying. All-in-all, it was not terribly difficult, but required a knowledge of both economics/business and of coding. They notified me the next week with the offer.
