Wayfair Associate Director interview questions

The HR reached out to me with multiple positions but no clarity on the exact role, citing multiple positions opened. Interviews were straight forward and easy. They knew about my salary expectations and role expectations from Day1. After multiple back and forth on getting back with a feedback, finally, an offer was rolled out, which was 1 level below (Senior Manager) and salary offered was a joke, almost 40% lower than what I am earning now. Dont know what was going on in the HR and HM's mind but felt like a terrible waste of time and energy. Decided to deny the offer. Might as well have just denied an offer to me than creating a situation to burn bridges. It aligns with multiple reviews i see here at Glassdoor about Wayfair.
