Walt Disney Company Cast Member - Part Time interview questions

I applied online using my CV and Cover letter. Spent time developing my cover letter for them. Got called in for a group interview, as it was my first group interview i didn't know what to expect as it started I notice people were trying way too hard to impress the interviewer, for example sharing that they have been to Disney world a million times in the past week or constantly singing the Disney songs in the background. Like we get it you desperately need the job. Sadly the interviewer fell for it since i didn't get a offer. I believe group interviews are extremely unfair and inaffective as a recruitment process.

It was a assessment,with a group of 15 people including myself.First we was asked to speak to the person next to us for 5 minutes,and ask three questions.What was there name,something interesting about them and who is there favourite disney character.You then had to speak to the group about the person next to you. Next part of the assessment was to work as a group for 30mins and then speak about what makes a good cast member and a bad cast member. The last bit of the assessment after that was speaking about the store where we could be working in,discussing the strengths and the weaknesses of the store and thoughts on the store.Also was a chance for the manager to discuss what she wants from the store and tell us the perks of working at disney. At the end of the group interview,the manager then told us that we would hear back within three days because the manager wanted to hit the ground running and because the group made the effort to come to the interview that we would get some feedback,on how we done in the assessment. It took a week for Disney to get back to me,giving there response to another email i do not use and also got no feedback that was promised.Overall experience was dull and ended on a negative. Felt undervalued and lied to,not sure i would apply for disney again after this poor experience.
