I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verizon (Basking Ridge, NJ) in Jan 2008
Interview
The interview process was pretty laid back. A contractor had set me up with the interview and it was a very casual and non-standard interview. We hit some of the basic interview questions, but nothing in particular that stuck out. At the time they had a pretty good idea of what they were looking for and were ready to move fast on getting this done. I came on as a contractor and moved over to full-time within six months.

Interview set up by friend. Team Lead & Manager. Structured interview- barely wrote anything down in the book. Interview was on a Friday afternoon at 2pm. Monday afternoon 4:15pm rec. email stating I wasn't qualified. No reason. Acted uninterested. Did not look at resume-because the email was sent to an old address from 2 years ago- but bringing resume was required. Never asked for 2 forms of ID as stated. Had to ask them before the interview if they wanted my resume.
