At first, everything went smoothly. I interviewed with four people in total; of which the first three were very professional, inquisitive, and focused. They asked very informed questions based on my background, experience, and where/why I would like to be in the company. Then when I interviewed with the last person, who was their Director, he was extremely unprofessional. He questioned my experience, credibility, and work ethic to the point of being insulting and condescending. I was an outside candidate, and I was very serious in this position. So much that I bought a plane ticket to fly out just for this interview. Which I explained, as well as how passionate I was about what I've been doing in the IT industry for the last 10 years, and what I thought Varonis had not only to offer me, but its clients as well. His reply was, "I know this is a good company, you don't have to tell me that. I work here." My portion of the interview with him ruined the entire experience for me. He was dismissive of me before I even walked in the room; for whatever reason. I understand that when working with those of foreign culture, from both sides, there should be a professional understanding of ethics. If that was the way that they chose to interview new candidates, then I can imagine why that office is experiencing a good bit of turnover.
