I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vans in Nov 2015
Interview
It was a group interview with 4 other people that was supposed to take around 20 minutes but ended up being an hour. Very laid back and casual. The interviewers were really nice and chill. They asked some basic info questions and then some goofy ones and maybe one or two questions that pertained to the job. Overall it was an easy interview.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Vans (Commerce, CA) in Oct 2012
Interview
Arriving at the store early before the interview you start to feel a bit welcomed as you wait in a group to be interviewed by the store manager. Once the interview begins each individual was allowed to voice their answer to the managers question and rarely did the manager ask an open question leaving the associates to in a sense jump to answer first. once the interview was over the next day i recieved a call being offered the position which was for minimum wage and will never change unless you become a supervisor or something higher than that.
