VMware Senior Software Engineer interview questions

This was one weird interview process. Never have I experienced an interview where they would ask about the syntax of a particular function. This was not a one off thing, this kept happening for for both the technical interviews. Basically you are not asked what problem you were trying to accomplish, no discussion about the overall picture, design methodology or processes.
