I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at VMware (Boston, MA) in Feb 2022
Interview
This was by far the worst interview process ever.
Red flag#1 the recruiter reached out to me to setup a time to interview. I selected a time and waited a few days. Then I got an email saying they moved on with another candidate. I followed up and she said it was an accident.
Red flag#2 I had a second round interview that lasted about 5 min because the manager only had 1 question to ask. Tell me about a time.... I answered it flawlessly and then she ended the interview.
After a few weeks, they told me they had rejected me because the job requirements changed to "Boston only". Why waste my time with a month long process and why did I have to follow up and ask for feedback... Overall very unprofessional and way too long process for only a phone screener and 5 min second round interview.
