I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at VMware (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2022
Interview
Interview process is pretty bad, recruiter just cancelled the meeting without any context. Then proceeds to ghosting candidates, this does explain why the turnover in the GAM team is so high.
I applied online. I interviewed at VMware (Palo Alto, CA) in Sep 2022
Interview
A general software engineer process. All the interviewers are nice and supportive during the interviews. Timeline: 1. HR round- ask normal questions about your status 2. One technical round - LC medium code challenge 3 On-site rounds - 5 separate interviews. LC medium code challenge as well, but also contained oop, and bq.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at VMware in Sep 2022
Interview
A handful of interviews: 1. HR Screening call - confirming details of my resume and background. 2. Technical Screening - Met with 2 current TAMs and discussed my technical background. This felt like the most difficult interview. 3. Interview with Hiring Manager - Met with the hiring manager. This felt more like a personality based interview to see if I would fit into the role. 4. Panel Interview - I was given 1 week to develop a 15-20 minute presentation based on provided materials. I presented to a panel of 5 individuals (all of whom were TAMs at some point.)
