I have interviewed with VMWARE in the past and my experience has been impeccable. At this moment I had a call schedule with the recruiter for the tanzu inside sales role. Our call was scheduled for a Wednesday, she changed it to Friday without telling me. Then Friday comes she says she is too busy and asked to reschedule it again. We reschedule it for Wednesday and Wednesday comes. She calls at 11am cst on the dot, I’m wrapping up my call. I ended my business call, called her back at 11:01am CST. NO ANSWER. Called back again, and nothing. Then she send an email saying we talked already and I asked if she will not interview me. Then she calls and raises her voice saying she’s too busy and they are prioritizing internal candidates instead. Does not apologize for her miscommunication. Does not interview me. Basically refuses to interview me since they all of a sudden are prioritizing internal candidates. The lesson here is, candidates are human, do not treat them like they’re disposable. Every candidate matters.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at VMware in Mar 2019
Interview
Applied via referral. Took a while to hear back. Then a technical interview with one interviewer over Zoom. Lasted about 30 minutes. I was asked to solve two questions and describe some stuff of my resume.
