I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Unity (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2020
Interview
The interview began with basic vetting with HR-focused initial questions. This included questions about salary expectations and wishlist features for the job. The next interview was with a direct manager and was both candid, and professional. I appreciated the forward-thinking questions, ability to frame long-term potential, and promoting Unity as an employer in the context of the world at large.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Apr 2021
Interview
I spoke with a recruiter who was super up-front and polite about the job, it's requirements and the salary expectation. I then had a meeting with the Hiring Manager to get more details about the position and for him to assess if I was a good fit. After which I talked with my potential team mates who were also super nice and informative. Finally, i had a very interesting and fun technical interview with an engineer outside of the team. Throughout the process the recruiter was always very transparent and followed up at every step of the way (Thanks D)

The overall process was seamless. The recruiter had a good sense of the job market and did a great job on keeping things moving forward with different stakeholders, which included conversations with the hiring manager, key team members, and a take-home assignment.
