So I applied actually twice, a few months prior and then 60 days after that (that's how long they keep your file on record I believe). I was called in for a interview for a temp task positions, supposedly the rest of the positions were already full. Met with one of the managers and the GM at the store prior to the construction being done, so it was as professional as it can be.
Questions:
- Why Ulta?
- Prior Jobs, what you did there, and etc.
- Do you know what type of work your position requires? Stock, upkeep, replenishment, truck(coming in at 6 to receive shipment)
- What days are you available?
It was a temp position, so roughly 6 days and 8.5 hrs each day. Hired on the spot and given the schedule right then and there. Didn't speak much upon customer service or anything because temps were dismissed prior to the opening of the store.
Expect to familiarize yourself with planograms, sku codes, and product placement. Good luck! It was a nice first job experience and I learned a lot. Only hope they would have kept me.
This is advice to people who don't know what to wear to the interview. Dress professionally since their dress code on a regular basis is ALL BLACK and business casual. Don't be afraid to have your make up a bit dramatic, just keep it in neutral colors such as browns, I wore false lashes but just don't overdue it (It's a beauty store, they also support your artistic side such as tattoos as long as it isn't vulgar). I wore deep burgundy A-line dress with black tights and a crop blazer.
