I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Houston, TX) in Nov 2015
Interview
It was a group interview, which I was worried about as I had had previous group interviews of 12 people, and I didn't think they would focus on individuals. I was with two other girls and they were both very nice. I brought my resume, and so did another girl. We went to a barnes and noble to interview and the majority of the interview was explaining how the store works, and not asking about previous work history or and relevant experience, I didn't even get asked. And at the end of the interview the three of us were offered the position at Ulta, and she didn't bother taking resumes. It was very simple and easy to have gotten the job. The woman who was interviewing us was very nice though, and I do look forward to starting soon. A con is she said that she would over schedule hours, and if we weren't needed, she would send us home or call us a few hours ahead of time to tell us not to come in

The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Springfield, VA)
Interview
I applied on a Friday got a call a few days later on a Wednesday for an interview in two days. Went to the interview and the manager wasn't even there so her assistant interviewed me. She didn't ask me any questions beauty related she just slightly complained that her employees lack being on time and actually working which I told her I work very hard and I'm always on time. I did a follow up and the first time they said the manager wasn't in and to call back a different time. I called back at the same time the manager called me for an interview on a Wednesday and the employee did not want to pass me with the manager and said I was in their notes. Such a disappointment. I even contacted Ulta HQ and they told me to call the store.... like what are they running here? So unprofessional.

Interview
It was pretty chill. I was pretty nervous, but you shouldn't be. It is pretty easy if you know about makeup/skincare. Know quality product names. Know what you would recommend to customers. Be yourself. Be very interesting and cheerful. Know about the company and the products they carry. Know the deals, and discounts. Come prepared, dress in an outfit you would wear to work. All black. Be confident and be how you would be at work. Professional and people friendly.
