I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Houston, TX) in Apr 2016
Interview
VERY SLOW PROCESS!! The 1st few times I applied I didn't get a chance to take the test . Then Finally I saw the posting for the 770 zip codes , I applied on 3/27 . Got the email for 2 unproctored exams.. Personality & one other (Timed) & you had to pass both , took both then same day got email to take the proctored 473 exam which had to be taken at a testing location & was nowhere near me Took the 1st one that came 1st . Went in on 3/29 to take the test & made a 83.10. On 4/8 I got 3 emails for my driving test , background which had to be done in 72 hrs. Then for the drug test you have 72 hrs to schedule then 72 hrs from the date you scheduled so I took mines on 4/13. I got a email at 9:02 pm This past Monday 4/25 saying I was invited to a interview for Friday 4/29 @ 10AM . When I Say It wasn't as long as I thought . Got there at 9:30 , signed in , filled out paperwork got copies of my ssc & DL . Turned it in , sat down then got called in to sign & date my application , sat back down then got called for my interview. She went over brief expectations & asked was I willing to do this !& that & the pay .. Then the actual interview started . Just say once I said I worked for Amazon (which is connected to the post office) she just started filling out my interview questions & recommended me ON SPOT & gave me a paper for my fingerprints which had to be done the same day & told me to keep checking my email about orientation . By 10:30 I was already out the door headed home! Btw NO GROUP INTERVIEW!
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Emporia, KS) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview process is very relaxed with some basic questions that you will answer on your test that you take. It is one on one and their was workers walking in and out asking questions to the postmaster. I feel that he just tries to see what kind of person you are and not how much you know.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Omaha, NE) in Apr 2016
Interview
Hiring process has been a long one with what seems like no end. From online application, testing, 3 background checks, drug screen, and finally an interview. I had test score of 86.6 which the interviewer said was high but I thought was ok. I'm not military but it I was I could of added another 5 points to that score. I had a one on one interview which was quite unprofessional when she kept taking phone calls throughout the process. It has been two weeks since and I don't expect for a response even though I qualified for 33 positions because of my score and manager background.
