I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Gaffney, SC) in Dec 2015
Interview
The interview literally lasted all of ten minutes. I was asked to verify the information on my application and asked what kind of car I had available to use for the position. The interviewer also explained to me that I would be an on-call worker if hired, and then I was asked if I was willing to work on-call hours.

Interview
Interview was informal and no pressure. I was sent a automated email with my interview date and time but asked to contact the postmaster directly if I needed to change it. The interview was one on one with the postmaster of the office that I applied for. Prior to the interview there was an online exam that needed to me completed. The second step was to make an appointment to take an exam. Scheduling was easy and test results were made available online as soon as the exam was over. I then received an email to give permission for a DMV check and an email for the actual interview within 2 days of completing the exam.
