Basic scripted questions. You are in a pool of several different people trying to get the same job. Veterans get preference no matter what. They only give you a day or two notice for the interview. They do not work around your schedule, you must show up when they tell you.

Interview
I applied for this position online on 02/21/2018 and received a phone call on 03/08/2018 to set up an in person interview on 03/15/2018. Around 03/27/2018 I was offered the position which I accepted and received an accept/decline email as well as an email to consent to a background check and another one with instructions on setting up a drug test appointment at an approved location. A couple days later I also received a packet in the mail with instructions and documents on submitting my finger prints which I had completed at my local police department. After submitting all the required documents and info my orientation/training starts on 04/30/2018.

Applied online and submitted. Was called approximately two months later. Went to local post office for a five minute interview. Was hired on spot and reviewed a checklist of duties and had to sign a waiver understanding job and safety requirements.
