I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Philadelphia, PA) in May 2013
Interview
Ridiculous interview, pretty much just paperwork and an impromptu one on one. It was a room full of people filling out papers and they took 5 minutes after paperwork to talk one on one.
I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Cleveland, TN) in Apr 2016
Interview
All the candidates, for the session, were given a speech about how demanding the job is and how you'll basically have no life, at all, until you get a career (full time) position. Any questions were answered and then "individual" interviews were conducted right there, with all the candidates sitting there. A first, for me.

They have alot of people come to interview at once... Names are called according to test scores. Questions are easy and pretty standard. Just be polite smile and speak positively of yourself. This is a really physical job so they will ask questions to make sure the job is for you. You will go to orientation for four days after you get the job and drivers training to learn how to drive postal vehicles. You get paid for orientation and training. This job is physically demanding and can be stressful. Management pressures you to get things done quickly and efficiently
