No real interview process, what they're looking for at the in-processing is that you don't have any criminal background and are relatively healthy to be able to go through basic training. They try to scare you to tell them everything or anything you might have done, but just deny anything, they won't find out, unless it's in your record, even if they say they will find out.
I was a direct hire and did not interview. I came in as an Army intern. Interviews for other Army positions have been difficult and very specific to the job announcement.
