The process has four parts, and they can be strict with the course exam but it is all about having a friendly personality, trainers make you feel comfortable and all the company is very clear on how things work.

I applied online. I interviewed at Transport for London (Londres, Inglaterra) in Apr 2015
Interview
Submitted an application form on the internet through the TfL website
Following this, I was given Online Maths, English and Reasoning tests, which were given a week each.
A few months later, I recieved a phone call informing of my successfull application and I was offered an interview where I was to give a presentation.
Formal interview with line manager and HR, where I gave the presentation I was set a week beforehand from the phone call
A background check was performed online using a service called Sterling Backcheck.

most were scenario based questions: situation, task, action, result. such as, give an example where you overcame a difficult deadline; give an example of having to balance out many tasks at once; give an example of dealing with a difficult situation, etc.

Interview
1. Send off your Cv and complete an online personality test ( on a scale of 1 to 5 how likely......)
2. Online tests in literacy, numeracy and skill based. Multiple choice and timed.
3. One to one interview which you have to prepare answers for certain topics (all explained to you) and two technical questions.
4. Medical and back ground checks.
Took about 2 months then wait to be placed somewhere which can take just as long.
