I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ThousandEyes (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
The process consisted of phone and technical screenings, a homework set, and a final in-person interview culminating in a "challenge." The team was very encouraging and willing to help me progress through the challenges as they were quite strenuous. The entire experience made earning an offer feel much more rewarding.

Question 1
Not one specific question, but the homework assignment was particularly challenging.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ThousandEyes (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
The process involved a lot of back and forth, first couple calls were to establish I was interested and I was not wasting anyones time. Then there was a technical screening call, followed by a "Challenge". The challenge is different for each position for the CSE position it involves answering a series of questions and showing your thought process. No cheating here as these questions will be the topic for your last round of interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ThousandEyes
Interview
Overall, I had a great interview experience. Especially after I interviewed onside and met some of the engineers there, I knew that it was the exact work environment that I was looking for. There were several stages to the interview process, but each step was relatively painless and some steps were pretty enjoyable.
- I first had a brief, non-technical phone conversation with a ThousandEyes recruiter.
- Next they asked me to provide some coding samples from my prior projects so they could review my code quality.
- After they reviewed my code samples, I received a coding challenge with a one week deadline. The challenge could be submitted sooner, and they definitely don't expect you to work on it full time. But honestly, I was having a great time with it, and found it hard to put down.
- After reviewing my coding challenge, I was invited to interview onsite. Everyone I met during the interview process was super nice and welcoming. There was no whiteboarding, but there was some live coding of toy problems on a laptop, questions about the coding challenge I submitted, and questions about my background.
-The final thing they asked for were some professional references.

Question 1
Much of the time spent during the interview was centered around the coding challenge. I was asked to describe on a high level how the application functioned. There were questions about why I implemented things a certain way.
