Met with someone on campus for an initial screening. I think he was looking for someone with experience with children and a basic understanding of the Y. Asked questions about what population of kids I wanted to work with, and why. Sent me to the director for the camp, and my interview with her involved similar questions.

Question 1
If you were any item in the refrigerator, what would you be?
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (New York, NY) in May 2009
Interview
Met the Executive Director at a Non Profit Fundraising Event. After discussing my career interests, he invited me to interview for the position of Executive Assistant. The interview was conducted by the Executive Director, Fund Development Director, and Finance Manager. It went very well, but at least one person was not enthused about me being hired. The Executive Director, my ultimate boss, felt I was the best candidate. I stayed for 4 years and made lifelong friends and colleagues.

It was mainly about my experience with non-profit organizations, of which I had very little. I was just out of college, but did work study for a non profit community center for 4 years.
