I applied online in December, but did not recieve a call back. I decided to call them in July after I had already been employed in a childcare facility. The education director asked me to come in for an interview the following Monday.
The interview was with the education director and was very laid back. She asked the basic questions that you should be asked when applying for a job in childcare. I was asked how I dealt with children with behavor issues, how to handle conflict between two children, step by step on how to change diapers, and asked what my teaching philosophy was.
After I answered the questions she gave me a tour of the facility and let me know the ages of the children in each classroom. She also filled me in on their staff to child ratio. We then went back into her office to speak more about the positions that were available. She was very kind and asked me which position I would prefer. She told me that she would speak with the owner regarding my interview and said she would contact me.
The same day I recieved a call from her and she told me that she wanted to offer me the position. They send out an offer letter that includes the position and the salary offered. Once you print and sign it you are to bring it back so they can begin filing paperwork and get your background check squared away.
The overall process took quite a while. I started two weeks later.
