I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
Phone interview, group interview, personal interview; I didn't really like the process because they went around the group having us each answer the same mediocre questions, it didn't give them a chance to get to know anything about us and it was super easy to lie and make things up having 10-15 people before you answering the same question.

Question 1
"Pick your favorite product from the store and why"
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store (Century City, CA) in Mar 2011
Interview
One on one phone call with one of the store managers, group interview with 4 other people, and then job offer via phone. Group interview was clearly to test our people skills and interaction with folks. Overall, pretty easy, but they emphasize that they want GREAT people working at the store, so be your bubbly best!

Question 1
What do you like most about working in retail? What do you like least about working in retail?
I applied through other source. The process took 9 months. I interviewed at The Container Store in Mar 2013
Interview
My interview experience was great but long. It started with a phone interview in March and ended 15 interviews later with an offer in December. I interviewed with the Area Manager, existing General Manager, both Store Manager's conducted an interview. Then the Regional Manager. I then had a facetime interview with the Vice President of Stores. After that I was flown to Dallas, the home office, where I had 8 interviews in one afternoon. The company provided a profile of each person whom I would be speaking with so I could tailor the questions to their job title. At the last minute several of the interviewees were changed out so I had to wing it. Overall the interview process was a bit long but I learned a lot about the company and what they are looking for.
