The Container Store interview questions

1. The process started with a phone interview 2. Group interview-during this time there will be opportunities for you to stand out from the crowd. e.g., role-play selling a product with one of the managers in front of the group. Participate during the group interview; you will need to show a lot of enthusiasm & energy. Do your homework and look at both their website and blog. 3. In-depth & intense 1:1 interviews with multiple store general managers. Coaching coworkers up and down is important. 4. FaceTime interview with area director.

Began with a 15 minute phone conversation where the screened me by discussing my past work experiences and why I wanted to work at The Conatiner Store. This conversation finished with the manager describing the position to me in detail and verifying my desire to continue in the process for the position. Next, we scheduled a face-to-face interview at the store planned for 30-60 minute chat. The manager asked me to review the company's 7 foundational principles on the company website and to be prepared to share my thoughts on them. I watched all 7 short 2-minute videos about each principle and we discussed them at the meeting. The manager focused a lot of time on what makes The Container Store such a special place to work and how the principles show-through in all they do. Lastly we discussed the next steps in my formal job offer and scheduling preferences.
