I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Winnipeg, MB) in Mar 2011
Interview
It was a long process but necessary, it was to see how serious you are about the position and to see how persistent you are with getting the job. It took about a month for me to get hired but it was worth the wait.

There wasn't much difficulty answsering any of the questions they asked me. I was already familiar with management so it wasn't so hard answering anything.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Body Shop in May 2012
Interview
The initial process of applying online is rather tedious and long, but if you don't mind it, it takes about a half-hour or so. The experience I had was quite negative, with the store manager treating me incredibly rudely and being rude to the employees while we were interviewing. I was rushed to interview ASAP despite informing them I was out of the state and then when I wasn't able to attend my final interview due to graduation from school, I was informed I was not dependable enough and was not 'fashionable' enough. They have lost their way from being an eco-friendly and kind, fun store to work in and are far more concerned with competing with stores like Sephora. It's simply unfortunate.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Ridgeland, MS) in Mar 2011
Interview
The interview process wasn't unique but did fell better than most companies. Everyone seemed to genuinely like the company and it values. They reinforce the values and ethics of the company in every interview step and carefully make sure that they choose someone that will represent the brand and carry out the goal.
