I recently joined Terumo and wanted to spend couple of minutes to share my experience with other potential candidates. Please feel free to reach out if you would like more informaton.
The interview process at Terumo is very well planned and executed. I had an initial interview with HR (you may have an additional interview if a third party recruiter contacts you). Afterwards I was invited for an in-person interview. I interviewed with around 6 people including direct manager, senior management, cross-functional managers and my colleagues. The interview was very relaxed and conversational. The team wanted to understand my previous experience and the approach I followed during different projects.
I was called in for a second in-person interview where I presented on couple of projects selected by the management from my resume. There were around 7 people in the room and the presentation was very conversational. I also got the opportunity to meet top management and understand more about their vision of the company. I have to mention that between my first and second interview, my grandmother had passed away and the Terumo team was very accommodating with my schedule while I traveled to be with my family.
The HR manager responsible for recruitment is one of the best I have ever met. She was my champion during the whole process including the salary negotiations. During my interviews I kept asking about the company culture and everyone mentioned it is a very team based culture. Now that I have joined the company I can attest to this culture. The teams here are amazing. They are very helpful and inviting. I have a very thorough on-boarding plan to ensure I succeed in my role.
