A Teladoc recruiter approached me for the position via LinkedIn and arranged phone interviews with the hiring manager and additional team members. At the point, the recruiter was proactive and responsive. My first interview was with the hiring manager. The hiring manager didn't seem to have prepared interview questions nor seemed particularly familiar with my resume. Several questions seemed slightly condescending in tone and the manager did not engage with follow up questions nor seemed interested in the overall conversation. Nevertheless, I was asked to another phone interview which went very well and was engaging. At this point, the recruiter stopped responding to my outreach for the better part of three weeks before I received a short explanation that the hiring manager didn't feel they "made a connection" with me - which seemed obvious since the manager was disengaged and disinterested in interviewing me. It was disappointing that the phone interviews where just that, especially as the company is known for video conferencing capabilities.
