I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Teach for America
Interview
You speak to the recruitment managers at your specific school in addition to their boss as well on a zoom interview that lasts about 45 minutes. During the interview they ask you behavioral questions to see if you would be a good fit for their organization and to see how many people you would be able to reach out to on the campus.

Question 1
How would you handle making contact with a club president if they have been ignoring your emails?

Interview
They ask a lot of personal questions and it helps to have leadership roles so you can discuss how you have dealt with challenges, things you have accomplished, how you work with others, etc. My interviewer was very kind and make sure to engage with your interviewer at the end because I think opening up the conversation can make a world of difference.

Question 1
Would anything ever make you end your commitment to TFA prematurely?

Interview
My interview experience with TFA was extremely positive. My interviewer was welcoming and sweet; I was so nervous going into the interview (especially since it was over Zoom), but she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. The TFA website does a great job outlining exactly how you need to prepare for the interview, so I definitely suggest reading through their material beforehand. The interview started out with a 5-minute lesson plan, then some personal interview questions (situational and behavioral), a 10-minute role play conversation, and then you get to listen to your interviewer tell their story about joining TFA. Overall, the interview was a really positive experience and there were so many resources to help me prepare! There were tons of interview prep sessions via Zoom and my recruiting manager was always following-up throughout the application process.
