Teach for America interview questions

I felt a lot of anxiety because Teach For America will only accept a small percentage of their applicants. However, once you apply they are very detailed and organized in leading each applicant through the multifaceted process. There is an online application, then a phone interview, then a group interview followed immediately by a one on one interview. After submitting the online interview, they tell you exactly when you'll know whether you're invited to the phone interview. After the phone interview, they tell you exactly when you can expect the day interview (group/1-1), then the EXACT date and time you find out if you have the offer. After you are offered a position, a Teach For America corps member from the region where you are placed, and a staff member will call you to congratulate you and personally answer any questions you have before you accept.

It was a long process, and very thorough. I could tell they wanted to be sure they were fully checking everyone out to make sure they were of the appropriate caliber. I was nervous all day, but they tried to make us feel comfortable. The 1:1 interview was pretty relaxed. It's hard to tell how well you're doing at the time, though.
