Interview
The interview process in and of itself took quite a while. There were set deadlines each step of the way, which took anywhere from a a couple days to a couple weeks worth of waiting.
The phone interview was fairly straightforward--they asked pretty standard behavioral questions.
The on-site interview was a little more interesting. Each person presented a 5-minute lesson plan, followed by a group problem-solving task, and finally a 1 on 1 interview. It was an all day process, but not terribly stressful.

Interview
Nothing too crazy, but very thorough. Make sure to prep for the final interview properly, and practice your lesson multiple times. By the time you get up there, you'll be so nervous that everything should be a conditioned reflex. The group activity and the 1:1 interview were pretty typical, just remember what they're looking for e.g. leadership.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Teach for America (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2012
Interview
The interview questions were very rigid and not necessarily tailored to the interviewee's personal experiences. It was difficult to add experiences which I felt were relevant to the position. I received an incredible amount of communication from them that was a considerable turn-off. Even after requesting to not be contacted, I continued to receive contact from the company.
