Interview
Many steps, you have to do a phone interview, a group interview then individual interview, and create a lesson plan. You speak with an alum of the program to do a phone interview. You have to read and discuss an article with other people in the group. Then you have to read situations and discuss your answers with individual.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Teach for America (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
The process is long and there is a lot of emphasis on your understanding of TFA as an organization. I would say it's tedious and there's a lot of people chiming in which results in answering the same basic questions over and over.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Teach for America in Dec 2013
Interview
The hiring process is a bit longer than other interviews I have had, but they looking to see if you truly will be a match for the Teach for America organization. They make it as conversational as possible, which eases you into the interview. After a few minutes of talking to your interviewer, you feel more comfortable with talking to them and answering their questions.
