The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jul 2010
Interview
The interview began with a phone interview, followed by a series of 3 more interviews and a job shadowing. Each of the interviews were situational based questions in the form of "Name a time when..." where you were expected to state the situation, what you did, and what the outcome was. The job shadowing was a chance to walk the store with a current executive team leader, ask questions about the job, and truly get a sense of what's being done on a day to day basis.

Question 1
Name a time when you received negative feedback from a boss.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2010
Interview
Applied online and recieved an e-mail from a recruiter a few weeks later. She sent me an online assessment I needed to take, as well as an appointment for a phone interview. The assessment consisted of 95 questions, with about half being personality based, and the other half being SAT-type questions (math and reading).
The phone interview with the recruiter consisted of about 5 behavioral-based questions where you are asked about a situation and your response to said situation. It lasted about 20-25 minutes.
Almost immediately after this interview (about 30 mins), I was contacted by the store to come in for an interview the following day.
At the store I was interviewed with the DTL and and HR representative. Both were extremely friendly- although I had major butterflies before the interview, the environment was very comfortable and they did a good job making you feel comfortable. The interview itself was given primarily by the DTL, while the HR rep took notes on your responses. The basic questions were very similar to that of the phone interview. "Name a time when....." I was told that I would get a response either way in the next 3-5 business days. Overall it was a good experience (if I get the position!). Everyone was very friendly and professional.
