I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Feb 2011
Interview
Applied online. Was contacted by recruiter who reviewed in detail the position I was being looked at for. We discussed my past experience and then went through a serious of situational based questions.
After this interview concluded I was contacted 48 hours later to setup an interview with a STL. Met with two STL's and again went through situational based questioned.
A week later I was contacted and asked to meet with a District manager. Again I went through more situation based questions. Was given further explanation on the role and what it entailed.
Over the experience was very good. Everyone was very helpful and encouraged me to ask questions

Interview
I first submitted my application through my college's job website and was preselected for an interivew. I set up the interview via the school website and met with the store manager of the local Target. This person was very friendly and asked mostly behavior interview questions like tell me a time when situations. The interviewer then asked if I had any questions, so I was only able to ask one or two questions for time reasons( interview were lined up back to back). At the end the interviewer said I would then hear back from the recruiting team. A week and a half later I received an email from the hr department saying I had 48 hours to take this online assessment if I still wanted to be considered for the position. I didn't appreciate that the company taking a week and half to get back to me and then only giving me 48 hours to take their assessment without giving me any prior notice especially since this was in the middle of the week. Luckly for me I had problems accessing their assessment, but emailed the department and they emailed me back within a few hours. The assesssment was pretty difficult especially with the math questions, logic problems, as well as you were given a situation and had to say what would you do out of the choices. All the questions were multiple choice, but you were not suppose to use a calculator or look anything up online while taking it The whole test is timed, and only the administrater gets to see the results. A couple days after taking the test I received an email saying that the company was no longer pursuing me as a canidate.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jan 2011
Interview
Started off with a phone interview/screening. Moved on to a set of in-store interviews, the first with a few employees, the second with the store manager. All questions were behavior based, and with some online research and a few hours of practice none of them were really a surprise. Moved on to an interview with a district team lead, same format. Moved on to an interview with an HR lead, meet and greet format.
