The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in May 2011
Interview
I received a phone call after posting my resume on an online database, and was offered an interview for the Executive Team Leader position. I kept in contact via telephone for a week before my interview. The interview consisted of 3 sessions of 2 group interviews with two interviewers each session and one last one on one interview. In each interview, I was asked almost all identical questions that were different only by different wording. All questions were situational questions asking how I handled certain situations. The similar yet different wording made the questions confusing and by the end of the interview I couldn't think straight. My last interviewer told me I would receive a phone call within the next week. However, I received an email a few days later saying they were going to consider other applicants. I would have much rather a phone call declining an offer since before that email, I was only contacted via phone. My advice would be to think of several situations where you solved a problem, caused a problem and how you fixed it, and situations similar to those. Also, I believe they were looking for consistency within the different interviews, by hearing the same stories for each question that was the same yet worded differently.

Interview
I applied for the ETL position, I got an email saying they wanted to schedule a phone interview. The recruiter called me and asked basic questions about citizenship and why I wanted to work for target. She than told me she would call me back in a few days to do the acutal interview. She proceeded to ask me about 5 behavorial questions ( all about leadership & team work). She asked me what my weakest quality I THOUGHT was about myself and I said perfectionist. She told me "That's a textbook answer" so bascially i needed to re-do my answer and make it about leadership. Right than I kind of figured it was going to be down hill from there. They asked me to take a IQ/skills test but I had already taken it a year ago when I applied for an internship there. Needless to say they wouldn't let me re-take the test, which was from over a year ago, they said it was still valid and couldnt let me re-do it. So basically this was a waste of my time! I only consider this a difficult interview b/c it was such a long drawn out process and resulted in wasted time!
