I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Boston, MA) in Mar 2012
Interview
I applied through my school's website and received an email a couple weeks later saying that I received an interview. The day of the interview two people interviewed me. The STL asked me all the questions from a pre-written Target interview packet, and the ETL who sat in on the interview wrote everything I said down. These two individuals were very easy to talk to and seemed very interested in everything I had to say.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Target (Champaign, IL) in Aug 2011
Interview
After uploading my resume and applying for the Executive Team Leader position in Asset Protection, I was contacted by the Target Human Resources. We discussed salary and benefits and what the job would entail. I was told that I would get emailed a test in the next few days. I received the test and took it. It lasted 45 minutes and consisted mostly on job ethics. I was then called the next day and we negotiated salary but they were not willing to start me over 45 K so I declined to continue the process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Alexandria, VA) in Feb 2012
Interview
Extremely thorough interview process. This company is seeking the BEST leaders looking at improving all aspects of the prestigious Fortune 500 Company. Bunch of phone interviews, couple in person interviews revolving around Behavior style questions. Have a personality, smile, and have fun. They're first looking at getting to know you as a person, and they want to make sure you seem like somebody they could hang out with, but also get the job done. Talk about where you see yourself in 3, 4, 5 years -- don't just say still in the same position, you should be aiming at STL by that time, possibly even interviewing for a DTL position.
