I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC) in Jul 2012
Interview
Very quick turn around. I had a reference from an existing team leader which helped. The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first was a general meet and great where the store leader asked some general experience questions. Overall, a great experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Pleasant Hill, CA) in May 2012
Interview
Initial communications were strong. I had met with a recruiter at a job fair, and passed along my resume.
I also applied online on the corporate Target site. I got an interview within three weeks. The emails were not easy to decipher. I missed an action item because it was buried under tons of information. The actual interview was average. The interviewer was pleasant, but it only lasted for about 15 minutes. Post communications were very brief. I did not get the internship. I was a little displeased at the fact that Target does not discuss why you were not chosen.

Question 1
What was a difficult decision you had to make? What was the situation, How did you deal, what was the outcome?
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Jun 2012
Interview
Applied online. Contacted by a recruiter a couple hours later to set up a phone interview (on the next day).
A number of things went wrong for me (my phone lost signal, my location preferences did not align with their needs, the interviewer was kind of curt, which threw me off, I was just overall unprepared for the interview). Didn't get past the phone interview. Asked basic questions + 1 or 2 behaviorial questions. Phone interview took ~30 minutes.
