I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tapestry (New York, NY) in Dec 2021
Interview
I had a call with a recruiter and then with the hiring manager. Both interviews were very informal and more of a chat than a formal interview. No clear agenda was presented, it was more to make sure I had the experience and skills that were needed for the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself.
This is the process, have you done anything similar?
Can you show us samples of projects you've done in the past?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Tapestry (New York, NY) in Dec 2021
Interview
1. Call with Recruiter - very pushy, unprofessional and rude recruiter (see below)
2. SQL test, make sure you know window functions. Dataset is retail data. Analyst role.
3. Call with manager (some case study stuff)
4. Call with other manager
Good: Overall the interviewers were very nice. Helpful and wanted you to succeed.
Bad: The recruiter was horrible. Very poor communication throughout the whole process. Will not give you a written offer until you verbally accept it and barely explained anything in the offer. I tried to negotiate with competing offers and they recinded the offer over email in an hour saying "oh no can do, good luck with the other offer" recinding the offer. Absolutely horrendous hiring practices.
