The first step is an online application. TD is a large company with standardized hiring process, which includes a "personality metric", which is also completed online. From here a regional hiring manager will conduct a phone interview, mine was scheduled the day after I submitted my online application. The phone interview is very easy, consider it more TD making sure you completed the application truthfully (which, of course you should have done). At this point you may be waiting, as you are then matched with a specific branch with an opening. This could be anywhere from immediate to weeks or months. Generally, for the entry level positions turnover is higher, therefore a position in your area is likely to come up sooner. The next step is an in person interview with the manager of customer service (MCS). If you are selected for the final round you will meet the branch manager for a second in person interview. You are not expected to have an advanced understanding of finance and banking at this point. It is an asset of course, and I recommend expressing interest, but not necessary. If selected, TD does a criminal background check, which takes two to three days. I received my offer the next day over the phone, pending a green light from the background check.
